Brittney ...

Brittney is busy setting up her new house hold in Nampa...she is 3 min from school now and no more freeway comute!! BUT CAN SHE MAKE IT TO CLASS ON TIME ! I am so excited for her to make this move out to the world. She is going to fly from here.

Could this have been the last cold hike...

Here are the boys last weekend on the hike to the spot behind the house -- it looks like it might be an old foundation and there is a spring that goes into a trough for the cows...you can see the snow behind John and Gus. They were watching deer.

This was our view...I thought this was the view I was going to remember before I died. They took me straight up last weekend. I named it the "we should have stayed on the couch" walk !!

I had the Best Day ever Saturday -- I got to see my nephews Drew and Sam play basketball. I have a couple of super star nephews on the court! They did great. I was very impressed. I also had a great time with Shelby on the side lines. I learned that Shelby loves Gummy Worms and she really can eat a whole bag at a time.

Sorry you had to hear that Emily!

Drew you did awesome!

The Gym we were in for Drew's game had strange lighting and Aunt Lori really blew it with the camera. Sorry I dont have more action shots for you of Drews Game - cause they rocked!!

Sam did amazing!

My nephews have really worked hard and it shows!

Keep up the good work!

Dads 80th birthday Party

dinner with the family

Happy times were had by all!!

New Family Member

We have a new family member in our house. Meet Boots.

Boots is a 9-10 month old Blue Heeler/Red Heeler mix. Gus was planning on getting a puppy during spring break or summers, but Boots needed a new home due people moving and expecting another baby. Gus was more than happy to take on the task of training Boots. So far he is doing really good.
This has to be the happiest dog I have ever seen. He know basic commands and seems to listen pretty good. The jury is still out on his intelligence level :)
The most important thing is he has tons of energy. He and Gus are spending a lot of time hiking the hill behind our house or riding mountain bikes. Boots doesn't seem to care or doesn't seem to have a end to his energy level yet.
take care
John

2/24/09 - Welcome

What do you know. John and Lori have a blog! What the heck is this world coming to?

Anyway, hopefully this will provide an avenue to keep the family closer and up to date.

  • Here are a few of my favorite pictures I have at work -- John

I was proud when my pup hooked and landed two South Fork Rainbows over 20 inches. Even more proud when they were back to back with about 3 cast.

What's better than a bent rod... on a Silver Creek Brown Trout?

A tribute to our wonderful parents...We love you!
